In 2019 we were involved in organising Shrewsbury’s first ever International Comic Festival called Comics Salopia. This event brought Comic art stars from all over the world together to celebrate this art form in Shrewsbury.
Share was proud to sponsor a Fabulous Cosplay parade through the town, and we awarded trophies for five categories of cosplayers. We are planning to repeat our sponsorship for the next Comics Salopia festival in June 2021.
Cosplay is a wonderful way for marginalised and stigmatised groups in society to express themselves. We wish to support this celebration of diversity, and to encourage participation by our recovery community here in Shrewsbury.
